Professional Consultation

HelpPeople provides professional consultations with leadership, managers and supervisors concerning challenging work situations, employee behavior and performance, enhancing the work environment, DOT compliance, and establishing practical steps for constructive resolution of these various workplace challenges. Consultations are conducted onsite, via phone or teleconferencing.

Consultations for Employers regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT)

Consultation and guidance for a Designated Employer Representative (DER) is provided when an employee tests positive on a drug and/or alcohol screening.  HelpPeople Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) are knowledgeable about Department of Transportation guidelines and will also support an organization’s testing program by providing an SAP evaluation, referral, case management, follow-up testing, record keeping and all communication with a DER.  In addition, HelpPeople provides training to Managers and Supervisors specifically to address reasonable suspicion and the effects of substance abuse in the workplace.
